Where is the OutFindr office, and is the job really on-site?
The office is in Pune and yes, every full-time role is on-site, five days a week. Working together lets us try local events and discuss how people use the app. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not offered for these roles.
Do you hire freshers, or do I need years of experience?
Both. Software Engineer I is written for nought to two years, and the Doomscroller role considers your content work. Senior roles require the experience listed on each page.
How long does the hiring process take?
About two to three weeks from application to offer. The stages are a thirty-minute call, a paid take-home or working session, then team and founder interviews.
Will I hear back if I am rejected?
We contact applicants whose experience fits an opening. For an update on your application, email hello@outfindr.co.
Is the take-home paid, and how long does it take?
Paid, and capped at four to six hours. We pay for your time whether or not we hire you. If you would rather not do one, ask for the working session instead: three hours with us on a real problem.
What is the tech stack?
TypeScript everywhere: Node with Prisma and Postgres on the API, React Native with Expo on the app, Astro and Tailwind on the marketing site, Cloudflare Workers at the edge. You do not need to have used all of it, but you do need to be happy learning one of them in a fortnight.

I am a student. Should I apply here or to the internship?
The internship. Every role on this page has an intern version with the same mentor and work scoped for three to six months.
What do you actually pay?
We benchmark against Pune market rates for the level and tell you the band on the first call, before you have spent a weekend on a take-home. The band depends on the role and experience level.
