Build features across our API and mobile app.
About the role
Build features for people in Pune finding activities and booking their weekend plans. You will work across the API and app with the engineers responsible for them.
This role suits a first or second job. You get a mentor, code reviews and more responsibility as you learn the product.
What you'll do
- Build and ship end-to-end features across the API (Node, TypeScript, Prisma) and the app (React Native, Expo).
- Write tests for failure cases and plan database migrations.
- Turn a product idea into a working feature, add instrumentation and review how people use it.
- Investigate and fix bugs in the features you ship.
What we're looking for
If you meet most of these requirements, apply.
- Strong fundamentals in one language, and enough JavaScript or TypeScript to be dangerous.
- You have built something end-to-end that a person other than you has used.
- Comfortable with Git, HTTP, relational databases, and reading a stack trace without panicking.
- You can write clearly. Most engineering is explaining a decision to someone else.
Nice to have, never required:
- React Native or Expo experience.
- You have run something in production, even a side project on a €4 VPS.
- A public repo, a blog, or a project you will not shut up about.
Pune, Maharashtra · on-site, five days a week.
